BBMT Pakistan has progressed tremendously both in terms of its nature as well as intellectual pursuit. The quality and skill of presentation, the recommendations are tremendous for the benefits of all those involved particularly in blood donations and thalassemia.

BBMT Pakistan is exceptionally good and truly a blessing. It brought together many hematologist from different regions, as well as international experts. We learned and shared so much about thalassemia. It made us realize that there is still a great deal that needs to be done in our country, and that we must play our role.

I am very happy to participate in this conference and to share knowledge with my colleagues from Pakistan. The atmosphere here is extremely friendly and welcoming. I am especially pleased to receive the new EBMT journal, and I am proud that together with my colleagues from Pakistan, we have contributed an article on the burden of Hepatitis C in Pakistan. I hope this will not be our last publication in this journal.
